Sravani Found Lars
Modern technology brought us together when Sravani found Lars on Hinge. Lars saw the like swiped right, the best decision he ever made. Having a good feeling, Lars decided to skip the ordinary meet and greet and offer to accompany Sravani on a hike the following weekend.
First Date
Our first date was a hike at Valley Forge National Park with our pups, Max and Masha. After a few hours of hiking and getting to know each other, we did not want to stop and continued talking in the grass by our cars until we got hungry. Naturally dinner, ice cream and pup-cups were on the menu. By the end of our six hour date, we all, including the dogs, knew we had found something incredibly special.
Making it Official
One month later, Lars officially asked Sravani to be his girlfriend the best way he knew how: with flowers and a fresh batch of homemade cupcakes spelling out “Will you be my girlfriend?”. She obviously said yes. This followed by planning our first vacation together to Smith Island, the most remote and darkest place in the Chesapeake Area. We specifically timed it during the new moon amnd solstice just so Sravani could watch the stars together.
A Proposal worthy of 10,000 Idli
Fast forward nine months. Sravani woke up from a dream and told Lars that he had made her 10,000 idlis, her absolute favorite Indian comfort food. Lars then knew exactly how he should propose, so he immediately bought a ring and got cooking. When he picked Sravani up from work that night, he surprised her with a warm plate of homemade idlis and sambar. He also dropped to one knee, and Sravani was so excited that she said “YES!” before he could even ask the question.
See You in Delaware!
And now we are embarking on our new chapter. We moved into together, commute and work together, and will be celebrate our marriage with you in Delaware next month. We love you guys and cannot wait.
